There are two options when configuring SharePoint 2010 security in “classic mode” (as opposed to claims-based). You can use Basic (NTLM) or Negotiate (Kerberos). If you use NTLM, you may run into double-hop issues. This is why you will probably want to use Kerberos over NTLM (this assuming you’re not yet moving towards claims-based authentication). … Read more
