Apparently, this blog is still alive

I checked the traffic on this site recently. People are still finding posts I wrote years ago. Some of those SharePoint articles have been doing their thing since 2009. Apparently, the blog has been more consistent showing up than me showing up.

A lot has happened since those early SharePoint days. Andrew Connell, whose posts I used to link to here, recently announced he’s joining AvePoint and closing Voitanos. Reading that was a reminder of how long I’ve been around this stuff—and how little of my own recent work I’ve put here.

I’ve been building. The writing kept getting pushed to “after this next thing ships.” Meanwhile, the devlogs, code, screenshots, and things I learned the hard way kept piling up.

There’s plenty to write about. I just need to start hitting Publish again.

One February entry documents six attempts to get an SBOM into the release artifacts. Another records an investigation where the browser was running an old SharePoint package while I was looking at the current source. I think they are worth sharing here.

So I’m going to start pulling that material out and writing it up. Mostly short posts about SharePoint, SPFx, and React: something that broke, an assumption that failed, a decision that worked, or a detail I wish I’d noticed earlier.

I’ll also write about relevant Copilot and AI capabilities as I actually try them. Screenshots, small code samples, and the occasional video should help explain what happened.

Some posts will revisit work already done. I’ll make that clear. There’s no reason a useful experience has to disappear because I didn’t publish it the week it happened.

I write more formally over at Zenpo.ai. This place is where I can talk shop and leave a useful note for the next person wrestling with the same problem.

There’s enough sitting in my notes already. Time to put some of it here.
